Muharram - 1448/ 2026

The new crescent for the month of Muharram / New Year 1448 has been sighted today on the 29th day of Dhul Hijjah/ 15th day of June, 2026 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Hungary, Iran and Jordan by optical aid. As the day progresses towards the west we expect additional sightings in-Shā Allāh. Accordingly, the new year 1448 and the first day of Muharram coincides with Tuesday the 16th of June, 2026. 

We wish everyone a blessed new year with accepted worship, prosperity, wellbeing and faith.
